The Official launch of DaParrot Media Ltd the publisher of news via www.daparrot.com is slated for June next year, Sokuton Yasin, the Chief Executive Officer has revealed.

Sokuton revealed this during an interview, as DaParrot marked one year in operations on September 14.

The fully youth-led media house was founded by three entrepreneurial youth including Sokuton, Samie, and Vicent Nathan Lusambya in September last year.

“It started as a meeting of three young friends turned brothers in June 2021, in September all necessary works had been done and we went online,” Samie said adding that “We are excited that we are here.”

Speaking at the mini-celebrations dinner, Sokuton announced that the company will be launched in June next year at a function that will be held in Kampala.

“Ahead of the launch, we shall hold different campaigns and run stories, especially those that aim at highlighting the plight of the less privileged,” he said.

“We are bound to do numerous projects and for the next six months we shall be running special investigative reports in our DaParrot Weekend Special Focus aimed at creating a positive impact,” he added.

Speaking the same dinner, Vicent Nathan Lusambya, the managing editor said that DaParrot is now more commited to doing stories that create a positive impact.

“We are much committed to amplifying voices impactfully, When we come to you for support, please don’t let us down,”  he said in relation to business and interviews.

The trio lauded Joshua Laban Musinguzi the Coordinator of the Parliamentary Forum for Labour, Decent Employment, and Productivity for the continued support rendered towards the growth of the media house.

“He has directly engaged us in the Forum proceedings and he’s readily available whenever we needed him,” Lusambya said.
