Police in Entebbe has arrested the president of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
Kyagulanyi’s arrest followed a planned one million match where his supporters had mobilised to match to Entebbe International Airport and officially welcome him home.
He has been outside the country for a NUP mobilization tours in Canada and South Africa.
Police yesterday arrested seven NUP supporters who were reportedly part of the ring leaders of the expected match.
KMP police spokesperson and different Kampala city Resident city commissioners yesterday warned of the likely consequences should anyone go in this planned match.
Police had not released the official communication regarding Kyagulanyi’s arrest which his party has described as brutal.
