William Samoe Ruto has been sworn in as the 5fth president of Kenya.
Ruto was worn in a ceremony that was conducted at Kasarani stadium by Martha Koome the Chief Justice.
“I William Samoe Ruto in full realization of the high calling I assume as president do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Republic of Kenya that I will obey, preserve, protect and defend this Constitution of Kenya and by law established and all other laws of the Republic of Kenya and that I will protect and uphold the sovereignty, integrity, and dignity of the people of Kenya, so help me God,” he swears amidst ululations from the mammoth of crowds in the stadium.
Ruto also took the Oath of the Due Execution of the Office of the President.
“I William Samoe Ruto, swear that I will truly and diligently serve the people and the Republic of Kenya in the Office of the President of the Republic of Kenya, that I will diligently discharge my duties and perform all my functions in the Office of President of the Republic of Kenya, and I will do justice to all in accordance with this Constitution as by law established and the laws of Kenya without fear, favor, affection or Illwell so help me God,” he swore.
