Former University Link High School Students Form Association, Announce Reunion Party Dates


A section of former students of University Link High School found in Mbale has formed their own association to unite them.

The association dubbed University Link Old Students Association (UNOSA) will unite students who have ever studied on this school.

Started in 2005, by an enthusiastic educationist entrepreneur Abdulhaziz, the school which started with one branch has since expanded into three campuses, producing over 10,000 Alumnis.

In a meeting held on Saturday November 5, at the School main Campus, the former students said they are planning a grand reunion.

“This association will act as a unifying factor for all of us who have ever studied at this school,” said Ali Kasubi, the UNOSA interim Chairperson.

“We know there are many former students of this mighty Institution who are successful and would wish to give back to our school, this will be among the easier means to do so,” he added.

These had in the zoom meeting, earlier announced February 18, 2023 as the date of the Reunion.

“We shall use this party to give back to our teachers who sacrificed alot for the success of some of us,” said Afan Faga, the UNOSA Chief Mobiliser.

Among the activities that will be held that day Include among others; a football Match with between UNOSA members and teachers, cleaning of the Bugwere Market, giving back to teachers and a grand party.

Kasubi said that the meeting to be conducted every Saturday of the second week of the month and everything Saturday of the last week in the moth.

As part of the methods of raising the over Shs11.5m budget seen by DaParrot for the party, the meeting  resolved that there will be a printing of T-shirts, that shall be sold at Shs30,000 to all members and we’ll wishers.

“The meeting also resolved that all UNOSA members pay a uniform,” Faga said 

Faga added that the meeting also resolved that all association members pay an uniform contribution of  Shs50,000, towards teh party however the maximum is open thus a member is free to contribute more than the minimum amount depending on the willingness,” 

For safety from accountability scandals, members, Faga said agreed that the money to be contributed, shall be deposited on the line which were to be registered today and be given to the treasurer.
