Hon. Anita Annet Among, the Speaker of Parliament will be the guest of honor on July 23, as the Rukiga County MP Hon. Roland Bish Ndyomugyenyi hosted a mega Thanksgiving function in his constituency.
Thanksgiving, according to Hon. Ndyomugenyi will also double as the Fundraising Drive for the completion of Ryabirengye Church of Uganda in Nyabirerema Archdeaconry, Rukiga District.
Several politicians, business community members, and corporates are expected to attend the function.
Who is Ndyomugyenyi?
Ndyomugyenyi Roland Bish commonly known as Uncle Bish was on the 14th day of January 2021 elected as the new Member of Parliament (MP) for Rukiga Constituency in Rukiga District. He won with overwhelming support as an independent candidate, but how much do you know about the new hard-working legislator?
Roland was born to Alice and Eli Nathan Kahene on 5th August 1977. He is a teacher, Certified Chartered Accountant, International Auditor, Risk Management Expert, Businessman, Development Practitioner, Mentor, community servant and mobilizer, family man, and a God-fearing as well as a politician.
Roland who is from the Beinika sub-clan, the Abeitira clan is married to Doreen Uwimana Sanyu, a daughter of the Basigi clan. Born and raised in Ryabirengye, Nyakasiru, Bukinda Rukiga, Roland
started his primary education at Nyabirerema Primary School, went to Bukinda SS, and Rwamanyonyi SSS for O level, and later joined St. Paul’s SS Bukinda where he completed his A’level. He did a Diploma in Education at National Teachers’ College Kabale from 1998 to 2000.
He then joined Makerere University Kampala where he got a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies topping the 2004 DS class.
After graduating, Roland was taken up by Ernst & Young-a renowned firm in Uganda and the world, and was able to complete his ACCA in a record of two years and was among the best students in the 2009 June sitting in the whole country.
Along the way, Roland has done Masters in Business Administration at Herriot Watt University and had certifications in various fields including certified Risk Based Auditor, Institute of Internal Auditors, and Advanced Auditing from London corporates training among very many others.
Roland has also worked with Barclays Bank, Uganda Road Fund, and Nile Basin Initiative, a World Bank-funded project where he was the
Regional Head of Internal Audit.

the forefront of introducing tea development in the Kigezi region, a
a project that employed so many people in Rukiga.
