The management of the Roots Party is still confident that its candidate the pro-marijuana Prof. George Wajackoyah is winning the highly contested Kenyan polls.

These are confident that Mr. Wafula Chebukati the Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC) will on Tuesday announce their candidate for Kenya’s Presidency due to the million votes he has gathered

“The first phase was exercised by the citizenry, the second phase by the IEBC, the body constitutionally mandated to tally the votes and announce a winner. We are confident that we will win through a fair, free and credible process,” said the party Secretary General Adam Kadernani in a statement.

“Our presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah would like Kenyans to maintain peace and accord the IEBC the patience it deserves in tallying the votes. Our Candidate will address the Nation after the official announcement by IEBC. Keep the peace, and love your neighbor.

Kenya is bigger than all of us,” he added.

These claims are made despite preliminary results intimating that Kenya Kwanza frontman William Ruto and his Azimio counterpart Raila Odinga hold a significant lead over Wajackoyah and Agano party candidate David Mwaure.

Mwaure on Sunday after conceding defeat and rallied behind Ruto whom they believe is taking the day.
