The National Examination body, the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has revealed dates displaying Candidates to register and ordered all heads of Universal Primary Education (UPE), Universal Certificate of Education (UCE), and the Universal Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) to follow suit with effect from Saturday, August 13.

UNEB is given this mandate under the UNEB Act 2021 Article 4 Subsection 2 which requires Examination Centers to display candidates’ last sixty days before the commencement of the National Examinations

These are slated October 14, with the briefing of the candidates.

“The registers should be displayed in a conspicuous place at the school notice board to enable all candidates review and confirm status of registration as well as their bio- data,” statement reads in part.

These should also be availed to the District Education Officer for the display and viewing of other parties.

“Where abnormalies in the candidates’ bio-data has been found, Heads of Centers are required to inform UNEB immediately for correction and variance,” the statement adds.

The institution therefore urged parents and Candidates to ensure that they are aware of the display exercise in time to avoid contradiction and that candidates need also to sign a parallel register as a way to confirm the bio- data.
