Three people have reportedly lost their lives in a nasty road crash in Kabale district.
Reports allege that a Simba-bound bus, traveling from Kigali to Nairobi Kenya with registration number KCG 888F, collided head-on with a Mercedes Benz motor vehicle with a Rwandan numberplate.
The crash reportedly occurred at Kitumba, a location about 4 km from Kabale town. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
The impact of the collision resulted in the deaths of three people, while one person was injured and rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The crash allegedly caused both vehicles to sustain significant damage. Emergency services were immediately called to the scene to assist with rescue efforts and transport the injured to the hospital.
Police had not released an official statement about the crash by press time.
