Nabbanja Directs Landslide High-risk Occupants to Vacate to Low Lands

The Prime Minister and leader of government business Rt Hon Robbina Nabbanja has directed all Bududa landslide high-risk occupants to resort to occupying low lands as part of the initiative to have their lives saved.

The Prime Minister revealed this on Saturday while she visited Bulucheke Sub-county, Bududa district was in many ways hit by a landslide as she intended to ascertain the level of damages caused.

In part of her speech, Nabbanja revealed that she had given 2tonnes of posho to Bududa affected persons and instructed that the relief should be taken to Sub-county headquarters and that’s where the distribution will be made.

She also gave out 2million shillings to aid in the transportation and other operational costs.

Among other Ministers on the visit were State Minister for Karamoja affairs and Bududa Woman MP Agnes Nandutu and State Minister for Water and Environment Aisha Ssekindi.
