The management of Dungu Resort, Munyonyo has announced that the Concert for Nigerian artiste Michael Adebayo alias Ruger which was foiled by Police yesterday will take place today.

Police yesterday foiled the concert after the organizers reportedly failed to meet the guidelines it gave them.

The organizers of the event were given guidelines to follow, like having a traffic plan for the revelers, who are to attend the show, putting in place access control measures and liaising with the territorial police but failed,” Luke Oweyisigire, the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday,

We also asked them to inform us about the number of revelers they expect to attend, having an ambulance in place from a recognized hospital, putting in place measure of crowd control, and also obtaining clearance from the venue owner and local authorities. Unfortunately, they have failed to meet the guidelines prompting us to stop the event to avoid incidents that can lead to accidents and safety breaches,” he added

In a subsequent statement released by the management hours later, they said that the concert has been moved to today at the same time,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will be postponed to tomorrow! We apologize for the inconvenience,” the statement reads in part,

Your tickets will still be valid Giving our patrons the best and safest experience is at the top of our priorities. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow All tickets are valid,” it adds,

Dungu is historical to Nigerian artists. In early 2021, Nigerian artists led by Omah Leh were arrested after performing despite the government ban on all music performances only to be rescued by their government through the Embassy.
