Kyabazinga Lauds Orthodox Church for promoting unity amongst his subjects

The Kyabazinga of Busoga His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV has lauded the Orthodox Church for uniting Basoga and Ugandans at large.

Speaking in part of his welcoming remarks to the new Archbishop and his entourage upon their courtesy visit in Busoga at Igenge Palace in Jinja City, the Kyabazinga congratulated Archbishop Leronymos Muzeeyi upon his appointment and thanked the Orthodox for promoting Cultural norms and values.

The Monarch requested the Archbishop to continue working together with the Busoga Kingdom so that they promote service delivery in Busoga and in Uganda.

The Kingdom Palace is open to everyone who wishes to visit it with aims of continuing to develop Busoga,” he said.

In his remarks, the Archbishop-elect, Muzeeyi, said he came to the Igenge Palace to introduce himself to the Kyabazinga of Busoga and was happy that the Kyabazinga received him with great joy in his heart.

Muzeeyi thanked the central government for restoring cultural institutions in the Country, with Busoga inclusive.

Later the Archbishop exchanged gifts with the Kyabazinga of Busoga as a sign to show love and unity between the Orthodox and Busoga Kingdom.

Muzeeyi was appointed following the demise of the late Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga, who served as Archbishop of Kampala and Exarch of all Uganda, in Central Africa under the Eastern Orthodox Church of Alexandria.
