The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) has dissolved to compensate survivors of their plane crashes.
After the Crash, the UPDF top command held a meeting aimed at assessing the magnitude of the incident
“Today’s meeting jointly coordinated by Mayor North Division Joseph Mashuhuko and RCC Mr. Anglia,”
The meeting took place at Saka Airfield and was chaired by Col Simon, deputy commander of the Air force attached to the mountain brigade.
“The inspection of the scene was made together with the affected persons and the preliminary findings were registered to wait for the approval of the board of inquiries from updf headquarters for onward scrutiny and approval,” UPDF said in a statement,
According to the statement, UPDF said that the compensation of the affected is going to be determined by the report of the board of inquiry.
“In the medium and long term plans discussions of the relocation and compensation have been initiated for the most neighboring occupants, especially that will be found inside the title of the airfield after the opening of the boundaries,”
The electric power line which was erected across the airfield, they said should be urgently relocated because it’s a security threat and one of the suspected causes of flight accidents.
The meeting, finally led by Mashuhuko and together with updf addressed the community at Saaka trading center.
Others present hon prosper representing City Division councilors and Chairman lc1 Kasindikwa cell.
