Six die as Kyabazinga weds


At least six people lost their lives amd seven others sustained injuries as Kyabazinga William Nadiope IV wedded his Queen Jovia Mutesi.
These died in an accident when one of Kyabazinga’s convoy slammed them in Kamuli.
Police described the deceased as; Isabirye Goodi 40 resident of Nawantumbi, Abbo Kevin 12 years of age resident of Nawantumbi, Waiswa Lubale 30 years of age resident of Nalinaibi in Nawantumbi, Mutasa Ema 10 years of age resident of Nawantumbi, Nabirye Katono 37 years of age resident of Nawantumbi, and Mutakubwa Amisi, resident of Nawantumbi.
It was reported that vehicle number UAZ742U T/ Super Custom grey in colour belonging to Kyabazinga security ramemd into people at Nawantumbi T/C along Kamuli -Jinja road who were waving for convoy.
The vehicle was among the convoy of Kyabazinga security going to Jinja from Kamuli district for the wedding.
Six people died on the spot and 08 Victims rushed to different Hospitals in critical conditions.
Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson says that bodies were taken to Kamuli general hospital for postmortem as inquiries continue.
The injured victims have been admitted to the following facilities, 03 at Kamuli general hospital, 03 in jinja regional referral hospital and the other 02 are in private clinics.
