Jennifer Kalule the Public Relations Officer of Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has clarified that there has not been any leakage of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) as it is circulating on various social media platforms.
According to Kalule, the two cases that were circulating on Social media were in respect of the ongoing Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) papers and not PLE as it is alleged.
“This is therefore to explain that the cases of the two people under investigation I referred to in the Police briefing on Monday were not in respect for the forthcoming PLE” she highlighted.
Kalule also articulated that they have managed achieve a Zero examination malpractice for the ongoing UCE and similar arrangements are in place for the PLE due next week.
Primary Leaving Examinations are expected to begin next week on Monday 6th with briefing of students and they will be completed on Wednesday.
Kalule urged the public to ignore messages indicating that there has been such a leakage and she also noted that UNEB has put in place stringent measures to ensure that no examinations leakages takes place.
The Examinations body has also issued a strong warning to the public against involvement in any form of examinations malpractice and they called upon anybody with useful information to report to the Police.
