Police in Katwe are having in custody two people allegedly for stabbing to death one Allan Kakumba, who attempted to rescue his brother from a fight that ensued after Man City defeated Arsenal in F.A cup last Friday.
Kakumba, a resident of Masajja A, Makindye Sabagabo, Wakiso district was also a Youth Councillor of the same parish.
Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said Kakumba was rushed to Mulago Hospital but unfortunately passed away. The police mouthpiece identified the suspect as Eddie Ssemakula and David Abigaba.
“We have also recovered the alleged murder weapon of a knife that has also been exhibited. Abigaba David and Semakula Eddie were fighting over the Arsenal Vs Manchester City match, Police have discovered that Kakumba intervened to rescue his brother, Titus Kyendo and he was allegedly stabbed by Eddie Semakula,” he said.
Owoyesigyire added that suspects remain under custody awaiting legal court proceedings.
