NUP’s Edrine Wafula Wins Kyambogo Guild Race

Edrine Wafula Koholo, a student and the candidate of the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) in Kyambogo University Guild Race has won.

Wafula was declared as the 2023/24 Guild president of Kyambogo University, by Brian Rwakituma, after scooping 3,175 votes.

His close competitors; Brian Okor amd Micheal Nkwanga scored 2,307, amd 2,092 votes respectively. 

The last two Including; Steven Katete ad Alfred Alion got 327 and 108 votes respectively.

“I, Rwakituma Brian being the returning officer for Kyambogo University Electoral Commission having added up the number of votes cast as recorded on each declaration of results form in accordance with the Guild Constitution declare that the total number of valid votes cast for each candidate,” said Rwakituma.

The polls attracted 13,615 voters where 8,792 participated in ghe polls for Guild presidents alone.759 votes were invalid.
