Nathan Okori the father of the deceased former Speaker Jacob Oulanyah has insisted that his son died of Poison.
“I am not mourning in Vain, I want to state clearly, Jacob was poisoned he told me and he was operated doctors attempted to deal with the poison, the poison affected his health so badly by the time he was flown out for treatment he was not in a position to recover, he was too weak,” he said .
“All mourners who are here you should know that my son is gone and we will never see him again,” he added
L’okori’s statements contradict with official postmortem which claims that the Speaker dies of multiple organ failures.
He (Okori) who had been thrown out from the list of people who were supposed to speak O’Day according to Daily Monitor, first demanded answers concerning his son’s death recently when he was pronounced dead.
He appealed to the government and President Museveni to take care of Oulanyah’s children and his Estates.
“My son was constructing a Mansion and other projects let this government takeover and complete them so that they help his children,”
“Your Lordship the Chief Justice I have learned that a certain lady is meddling with Jacob’s Estate tampering and hiding documents, you are the one in charge of laws in Uganda I want you to safeguard Jacob’s Estate from meddlers,” he said
Speaking at the same send-off, DP president Norbert Mao described Oulanyah as a transformational leader.
“He was our leader, our voice, he supported us all faith,”
“Jacob had support from all over Uganda, I understand Africans are superstitious when you die they will say only good things now those who mocked him when he lived now are busy talking only good things,” he added
Oulanyah, 56, who has been a speaker for nine months was last month flown aboard a chartered Uganda Airlines Airbus to Seattle, the US after his health condition reportedly deteriorated while at Mulago National Referral Hospital. It was the first time the revived Uganda Airlines was flying to the US.
His death was announced by President Yoweri Museveni.
