The Kampala metropolitan police, Natete Division is investigating the circumstances under which Kenneth Kabanda, a resident of Natete Kitaka zone allegedly murdered his wife, Viola Nakabazi.
This gruesome incident took place on Friday, September 2, at about 8 pm.
Kampala metropolitan deputy police spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said in a press statement that this couple allegedly developed a misunderstanding which prompted Kabanda to cut the Nakabazi.
“Police were informed about the unfortunate incident and responded to the scene where the deceased’s body was found lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut on the neck,” he said
He added that the samples were picked from the body by the scenes of crime officers.
“We also recovered the suspected murder weapon. All exhibits will be taken for analysis. After committing the crime Kabanda run away but was apprehended 3 hours later,” he said
The suspected, he said was arrested and is currently being detained at Natete Police station on allegations of Murder.
“The deceased’s body was conveyed to the city mortuary in Mulago. More details will be availed as soon as possible,” ASP Owoyesigyire
