The State minister for housing Hon Persice Namuganza has spoken out about her alleged assassination threats saying that she was being followed right from her home
Namuganza had yesterday been traveling back to her home attacked by an unknown group of people who tried to smash her vehicle with what she identified as a hard object. However, these were unsuccessful having failed in their attempt to flee along the kisasi road.
Speaking at the parliament on Friday, Numuganza noted that the police had quickly established its investigation and that the matter was now being followed up
She then noted that based on the few camera footage that was captured it was evident that the assassins had been more deliberate and that they had since followed her from their home
She noted that she has for so long been receiving such kinds of threats but however this showed her that her life was in real threat
” They have always been many threats to my life, however, l have always managed to persevere. This, however, has shown me that my life is in real danger,” she said.
Adding that as a responsible person she found that it was prudent to inform the public and the people she leads and inform them that her life was in real threat
In a space of only two the speaker of parliament also revealed how her life was under threat and that the Office Of the Prime Minister needed to start a though investigation into the matter
She however noted that she wasn’t shaken by any of these threats and that she was more than ready to be the speaker for as long as God wills.
