Authorities to Relaunch Keep Mbale City Clean Again

Authorities in Mbale City have announced that they will relaunch the campaign aimed at restoring the cleanliness of Mbale City.

Martin Wabusa the Keep Mbale City Clean publicity chairman said they have decided to place the launch on October 20.

The launch will start with cleaning; Kumi road market, Kikindu Market, Nkoma Stage, Central Market, Birali mosque, and Bugwere road market.

Among other places he mentioned are the Bugema Nauyo town council, Nakaloke town council, Mooni, Mukhubu, and other related areas that will be visited.

He says the campaign will start on the 19th with community work especially within the city center and on the 20th for the rest of the city.

He appealed to local leaders to support the campaign as well as the business community and Mbale City residents.

He appealed to residents to collect garbage in one area to make it easy for the trucks to pick it.

He also appealed to stakeholders who are capable to lend a hand in the campaign especially for those who can provide private trucks for collection or even cash.

If there are any stakeholders who wish this city well, we have a budget we are following and you can offer assistance for those who have trucks your welcome, those who have the hardware you can give us spades and whatever is necessary for cleaning“. He said.

He also revealed that the campaign will start early in the morning and end at 4 pm and the Chief Guest will be the city mayor Cassimu Namugali.
