Mr. Ahamada Washaki has been transferred from Mbale City as its Resident City Commissioner.

Washaki replaced the deceased Suleiman Ogajjo Barrasa as the Resident District Commissioner of Mbale District before the municipality was elevated into a City.

The news of his impromptu transfer was confirmed by his confidant.

“#BreakingNews RCC Mbale Ahamada Washaki transferred to a station that will be communicated later as per his press secretary,” posted Washaki’s confidant on his official Twitter handle.

Parel sources however intimated that Washaki has been transferred to Kumi District.

Washaki prior to coming to Mbale worked as the RDC of Mnafwa district where he was too vocal, especially on issues of corruption.

In about one and half years he has been at the helm of the City, Washaki has fought battles, especially on land, corruption, and service delivery with a section of rowdy rich people in the City.

He has also fetched personal enemies, for example, Rogers Wandulu a marketer of at Elgon Pride Coffee who has on several occasions accused Washaki of being discriminatory while doing his job.
