93.1 IUIU FM radio presenter Busiku Swaibu has been elected as chairperson of Youths for Uganda Red society Nakaloke sub-branch
This was during the annual general meeting held on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at Yiga Nga kola Hall in the Northern division of Mbale city.
Busiku Swaibu won the election with 14 votes against his revival Kalujja Abdallah who got 13 votes out of the 27 total votes making Busiku the winner with a difference of 1 vote.
He will be ruling for a period of four years.
The Chairperson elect Busiku Swaibu thanked the members for entrusting him with that position and promised to lead them to achievement to set calls of the agency with the help of his fellow members and the top leadership.
“Thanks so much for voting me as your new leader and I pledge to meet the aims of Uganda Red Cross society with your support and cooperation, ” said Busiku Swaibu
Busiku also went ahead to appeal to the members to renew their membership to enable the agency to have funds to invest in the planned activities.
“I call upon those who haven’t renewed your membership to do it for us to have money to facilitate our programs,” said Busiku.
Semakuka Ali, the Nakaloke sub-branch focal person pledged to work closely with the new committee to achieve the objectives of the agency.


“I promise to be there for you for us to achieve the objectives of Red cross society,” said Ssemakula Ali.
The other candidates who went an un opposed included vice vhairperson Namakambo Hindu Masuba,general Secretary Kampi Aisha ,financial secretary Namukose Hellen ,Health affairs secretary Wakooli Junic Beatrice and secretary for international relations Mundo Bashir.
Busiku Swaibu will be replacing Ukasha Yunus who has been the youth chairperson since 2019.
Nakaloke sub-branch is one of the three sub-branches operating under the Uganda Red Cross Society Mbale branch is led by Twaha Ayub as the manager.
