Human Trafficking: Police Launch Manhunt to Aim Global Alliance Director, 7 Staff Members Behind Bars

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga has revealed that they are holding arrested 7 staff  members of Aim Global Alliance that were arrested by the territorial Police of greater Masaka on charges of trafficking persons using their fraudulent employment scheme.

Last week, the State Minister for Gender Peace Mutuuzo upon getting intelligence intercepted Greater hotel in Masaka were she found over 300 young adults being held un lawfully by Aim Global Alliance under intentions of securing them jobs.

According to Police, all the these 308 persons from the Eastern, Central and Northern region were charged up to 900,000 Uganda shillings each and this was deposited on one of their accounts in Equity Bank.

“We have put up a serious man hunt to the director called Taremwa Moses who is still at run as we still hold the seven in our custody” Enanga highlighted.

The Gender Ministry sensitized and engaged the victims against the dangers of such traffickers and it also mobilized funds for all the victims to return to their respective home districts.

Police pledged to continue tracking down and arresting suspects who are fuelling the exploit of Ugandans and profiting from them.
