On behalf of the Cultural of Iran in Uganda, I congratulate you on the 59th independence anniversary.

All of us have to join hands in materializing the goals of independence through patriotism, self-sacrifice, innovations, Unity, and development.

Uganda is endowed by almighty God and it’s for every Ugandan to donate him/herself to the beloved Nation, Uganda for internal development.

The seal of prophethood taught us that defending and loving our country is part of faith that we should encourage internal development since it starts from inside.

There are exciting times ahead for your country and I’m glad that the patriotic and charismatic leaders have a role to play in building that future and in transforming your common aspirations into reality.

I am confident that the unity and togetherness we have will bring a brighter future and an even stronger partnership between our two nations.

To the government and the people of Uganda – I wish you a joyous Independence Day.

The Writer is the Cultural Chancellor of the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kampala, Uganda.
