Ambassador James William Kinobe has raised concern over the urgent need to reactivate Bilateral Cooperation frameworks among which include the Joint Ministerial and Political Commissions which he said are much critical and crucial in facilitating consistent and regular interaction between countries.

The Ambassador further noted that the frameworks if effectively implemented are a great booster to matters of mutual interest between states.

The Ambassador said this while he end marked his four-year tour of duty in the Republic of Sudan where he also bid farewell to H.E Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, President of The Transitional Council of Sudan.

The two parties, however, emphasized that the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic had hampered the progress and successful implementation of the outcomes of these framework agreements.

In this regard, president Abdel directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reactivate the activities of these bilateral cooperation frameworks since the economies of both countries were fully open observing that this would enable the countries to discuss matters of mutual interest.

He also congratulated Ambassador Kinobe for successfully completing his tour of duty as he also urged him to remain committed to serving as a goodwill Ambassador for Sudan.

The Gen also credited President Museveni for his continuous efforts and contribution towards peace and development within the East African region.
