Dear Brother Mariachi,
Assalam alaikum warahmatullahi Wabarakat.
Hoping that this message finds you in a clean bill of health and high spiritual moods. I have been following the recent tantrums, insults, and threats thrown at you by a group of some young Muslim men and women over one of the jokes you cracked at one of the shows on the comedy store.
To begin with, I personally did not find anything offensive about your joke, instead, you presented the truth in a comical, dramatic, and entertaining way which is what your job is all about.
In fact, to me, you promoted Islam by portraying it as a religion that encourages saving and being economical.
Secondly, I wish to inform you that the Muslims who have verbally attacked you, have done so out of ignorance and unnecessary emotions.
Islam teaches us to use wisdom and good words while inviting other people towards faith. You are a potential candidate for becoming a Muslim, but am sure you must be terrified of how some Muslims can react to very simple issues.
Trust me their behavior and attitude do not in any way represent the teachings of Islam and not all Muslims behave like that.
Believe me, in the history of Islam there were people who insulted or even physically assaulted the prophet, killed Muslims, and spread blasphemous propaganda against Islam but both the prophet and Muslims of those days treated them nicely to the extent that almost the majority of them converted to Islam.
We have different ways of perception, whereas others see you as someone who constantly attacks Islam, to me and other positive-minded Muslims, making several jokes about Islam and Muslims is a clear sign that you follow Islam and you could actually be interested in the faith.
So, just in case you have any questions about Islam and Muslims come to my DMs we talk anytime, forget about, and ignore those tormenting you.
By the way, I know you donโt know English find someone to translate this for you ๐๐๐
Your brother,
AbdulSwamad Gyagenda
